Family Activities Along the Connecticut River in Vermont

When I last visited the Connecticut River in Vermont, I had such a great time. Though many people will overlook the great outdoors, it simply is a refreshing break from the loud noises I often here in the city. I was born and raised in San Francisco so visiting my cousins in Connecticut is definitely a way for me to experience different part of the country. Family activities along the Connecticut River in Vermont are not that hard to find because there simply is so much to do. It definitely felt like I was in a whole new world where I was in control of what I wanted to do. I was able to hike, take pictures and explore the beautiful river.

There are a lot of hiking trails like the Cohos trail and the Appalachian trail. These are the two trails that I was able to enjoy and I will have to say that it was absolutely breath taking. I took enough pictures to fill up five Facebook accounts and I would definitely explore those trails again. Though many people do not enjoy the outdoors and hiking on trails, it is actually one of the best ways to stay healthy and at the same time explore something new.

After we went on a few hiking trails, I knew that I needed to get a feel of the actual river. When my family was able to rent a boat, I was able to fish in the river and I was having the time of my life. I highly recommend people who live in the city to finally get out and see what else this beautiful country has to offer. If you have never been able to enjoy the Connecticut River, I highly advise to get out and explore the great outdoors.
